The project entailed the complete reconstruction of the Belt Parkway Bridge over Mill Basin. The existing drawbridge was demolished to make way for a new elevated structure. The modern bridge includes two sets of seventeen spans, supported by a cast-in-place pile foundation, a robust concrete substructure, a structural steel superstructure, and a concrete deck with a wear-resistant surface.
